In order to be eligible for Full Membership of NZSCD, applicants need to submit evidence of the following credentials:

1. Facilities Accreditation NZS8165:2005 office & rooms based surgery
2. Current New Zealand Medical Council Annual Practising Certificate
3. Current Medical Indemnity Certificate
4. Royal New Zealand College General Practitioners Fellowship Certificate 
5. Evidence of Advanced Dermoscopy Qualification*
6. Evidence of Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery Qualification*
7. Evidence of Surgery Audit Data (200 excisions per year) – SCARD Summary Report preferred, to include the following calculations:
   – Incomplete: Complete removals;
   – Benign: Malignant ratio;
   – Infection rate

* A full list of the NZSCD Accepted Advanced Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Surgery qualifications will be sent to applicants upon submission of their membership enquiry.

A visit to the Applicant’s clinic by an NZSCD Executive member, combined with a surgical observation will be required to confirm Full Membership.

Applicants who do not hold all of the required credentials are still eligible for Associate Membership while they complete their training.
