Dr Brigette Meehan was Otago trained. She is a vocationally registered GP with a special interest in Skin Cancer diagnosis and management. She has worked for many years in General Practice. Her experience includes working in her own practice then locum work in rural New Zealand, rural Australia, the Pacific Islands & Christmas Island. Skin cancer diagnosis and management has always been an enjoyable part of her work. Her previous interests include Obstetrics & Sports Medicine and she holds post-graduate qualifications in these areas. She has also been a teacher of medical students & GP registrars. Currently she is focusing on skin cancer care. She has training in dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery through the Skin Cancer Symposium and completed a Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Surgery through the University of Queensland.
