Dr Becker has a Masters of Medicine Degree in Skin Cancer, from the University of Queensland and is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia. She is also a Fellow of Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.​ She has a wealth of General Practice experience as well as a background in General and Plastic Surgery at Wellington and Hutt Hospitals. This places her in a good position to be doing Skin Cancer Medicine work, which she thoroughly enjoys.​ Dr Becker is a director at Wairarapa Skin Clinic, in Masterton.
