Laura grew up in Queensland, Australia, graduating from James Cook University in 2012 - moving with her Kiwi Husband to New Zealand in 2014. She spent 5 years in hospital-based specialties across Australia and New Zealand before completing GP training. She is a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) and splits her time between two special interests – Skin Cancer Medicine/Surgery and Musculoskeletal Medicine. She holds advanced certificates in Dermatoscopy, Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Cancer Surgery. She is passionate about early skin cancer detection, prevention and treatment, as well as teaching the future generations. Outside of work she enjoys cooking and sewing as well as the outdoors – hiking and spending time with her young family on their lifestyle block outside Palmerston North.
