Dr Mistry is a graduate of Medicine at the University of Auckland. She has worked throughout New Zealand, as well as Australia. As a surgical registrar she worked at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, which is a tertiary referral centre for plastic surgery for South Australia, as well as the Northern Territory, and western NSW and Victoria. Throughout her surgical training she has also had a strong interest in research. She has led multiple projects, and has presented at international conferences and published in high impact journals. She is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor at Molecheck in Auckland. She also performs skin cancer surgery for Te Whatu Ora. She is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
