Ricki-Lea graduated with her medical degree from The University of Otago before moving to Nelson where she currently lives with her partner. She is a Skin Cancer Accredited Doctor after completing advanced study in this field as well as a Diploma in General Dermatology. She also holds a Diploma of Te Reo Māori as well as her Fellowship in General Practice. Ricki-Lea is based at The Skin Institute Richmond clinic in Nelson, and also travels to other Skin Institute clinics nationally.
